The Legendary Left-Wing

Someone recently asked me about

The Legendary Left-Wing...

Géography Theater (2007)
Erik Desmazieres
eau-forte et aquatinte
ProLitteris, Zurich

...asked me to describe in subtle detail the features, attributes, and essential elements found within the technical virtuosity and dream-like vision that is :

The Left-Wing...

Allison Torneros

Shangri-La,

Oz,

King Solomon's Mines...

...the very names that evoke wonder and longing in the hearts of every cultural anthropologist's imagination ...

These are the places against which the very essence of The Left-Wing is compared... for a place is often times relegated as the measure of what and where it is not, i.e. through the lens of the epitome of separation:

Parallel Lives...

AND yet,

A place is ~ only ~ the fully-realized experience held exclusively within   ~  the ~    place itself.

In its purity and resplendence, any given place is the unblended, genuine, real or absolute  experience of an  idea.

The Left-Wing
is
the Capital of Imaginary Places...

where nature runs free ...

and all those who enter are forever touched by the sheer authenticity that purses through the veins of the inhabitants who venture therein...

Michelle Hébert

One recent Visitor to

The Left-Wing

had this to say:

The magnitude, on every level of experience and meaning, of the place in which I involved myself so utterly exclusively, exceeds all my preconceptions. It is teaching me to extend myself, beyond what I thought was possible for a place to be.

To be utterly exclusive in any given thought or idea is terrifying to many people.  To let go of other thoughts or ideas in order to fully experience one specific idea in all its unique subtleties...

Smashmethod

and all its immensity ...

is to get lost in an idea ...

to slip away to a more exotic experience ...

to embark upon

the penultimate journey of self-discovery...

The Left-Wing

the Capital of Imaginary Places

is where the constitutive intellect finds its equal ...

Belle Perez-de-Tagle

Un-corroded by ennui,

The Left-Wing

tempers the harshness of misconceived notions of balance whereby the concept of equality is found in a shared state...

Believed to hold the secret treasures found in all the world's Imaginary Places....

The Left-Wing

teaches us that it is only through the absolute experience one will find the pièce de résistance, the masterpiece, the magnum opus, or the tour de force held within any given place or idea...

Those whose hearts have been nourished by these places

are indelibly

marked
