However, the number two is, without a doubt, a digit that will open your mind to the true definition of one and therefore first causality of all numbers.

Even numbers are defined as numbers divisible by 2. Thus, two is the 1st even number. But it is so much more.
Yin and Yang are the 2 fundamental principles in the Chinese concept depicting the duality of life.
The 2 small sticks used in the I Ching are a binary system. Of course, 2 is the basis of the binary system. In 1725, Basile Bouchon invented a device consisting of a roll of perforated paper punched with holes that could control the threads on a mechanical loom. One of my friends told me that Bouchon was not the first to have done this. It might have been done by women weavers. They may have been the "ones". In this case, two is a female number (see below), which brings the number back full circle.
The same idea was used in the pianola. Then Charles Babbage used the system in his Analytical Engine. Thanks to binary notation, today's analytical engines can do all sorts of things that we can download onto our iPads and iPhones.
Beyond the Meta-important Universal Stuff behind the number two is some doubt. The early Greeks weren't sure whether 2 was a number at all, because it has a beginning and an end, but no middle.
Being an even number, the number two is considered the 1st female number, and therefore, the mother of all digits.
2 = 1 x 2
The number two is also a prime number. A prime number is a number that can't be written as any 2 whole numbers multiplied together except 1 and itself. Two is the ONLY even prime number, because every other even number is divisible by 2, and so can't be prime.
While it takes tremendous effort to indeed prove that 1 + 1 = 2, it requires little or no effort at all to recognize why 2 is the quintessential digit of any given telephone numbering system.
